How to read the laboratory report (COA)

A certificate of analysis usually reports the cannabinoids in two forms: as the acid form (CBDA, THCA) and as the activated form (CBD, THC). The meaningful figure is the total CBD or total THC, in which the acid form is counted with a factor of 0,877. For Swiss marketability the total THC value is what matters – it must be below 1 %. Reputable laboratory reports also include a test for pesticides, heavy metals and microbiological contamination as well as the batch number and the test date.
