This category is the home of dabbing concentrates: wax, shatter and crumble – three different consistencies of the same highly concentrated CBD extract, each with its own character in use. With purity from 90% to 97% CBD these concentrates are among the most potent CBD products on the Swiss market.
What is dabbing?
Dabbing is the method of vaporising highly concentrated cannabis extracts (wax, shatter, crumble) on a hot surface (nail, banger, quartz insert) and inhaling the vapour that results. Its advantages over flowers: an extremely intense effect from a minimal amount of material, an immediate onset (within seconds) and little effort. Dabbing is the preferred method among experienced CBD users.

Conwax 97% – the user-friendly concentrate
Conwax has a waxy, easily shaped consistency – ideal for those new to dabbing. With a dab tool the smallest amounts can be taken off precisely and applied to the hot nail. It is also excellent for adding small amounts to flowers (known as „twaxing“).
Cancon Shatter 97% – the expert's choice
Shatter is glassy, transparent and brittle. This consistency comes from especially careful curing of the extract and is regarded as the purest and most beautiful form of CBD concentrate. Ideal for experts who want maximum purity and precise dosing.
Cancon Crumble 90% – the all-rounder
Crumble (or „honeycomb“) has a crumbly, loose structure that breaks apart easily. This consistency is particularly versatile: ideal for dabbing, but equally easy to work into vape cartridges, onto flowers as a topping, or into edibles.
The dabbing setup – what you need
| Equipment | Purpose | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Dab rig (water pipe) | Filters & cools the vapour | Available in the headshop |
| Nail / banger | A heating surface of quartz or titanium | Quartz for a better aroma |
| Dab tool | For picking up precise amounts | Stainless steel recommended |
| Torch (crème brûlée burner) | For heating the nail | or an electronic e-nail |
| Carb cap | For optimal airflow | Improves vaporisation efficiency |
Dabbing step by step
- Heat: heat the nail with the torch to 350-500°C (depending on the material)
- Cool: wait 30-60 seconds – important for the right temperature (230-260°C is optimal)
- Apply: place a small amount of concentrate on the nail with the dab tool
- Inhale: draw slowly and evenly
- Clean: remove the residue with a cotton bud (best done right after it cools)
Alternative uses without a dab rig
- Vape pen with a concentrate cartridge: put the crumble into a special dab pen chamber
- Twaxing: spread a small amount of wax onto a CBD flower – see the flower category
- Your own edibles: dissolve the concentrate in butter or oil (at 60-80°C), then bake
- Making your own CBD oil: 1g of concentrate + 10g of carrier oil = about 9% CBD oil
Frequently asked questions about CBD concentrates
Are CBD dabbing concentrates legal in Switzerland?
Yes. All our concentrates contain less than 1% THC and therefore comply with Swiss law. They are declared as a tobacco substitute / smoking herb.
How does dabbing differ from ordinary vaporising?
Dabbing uses higher temperatures (230-260°C) and direct contact between the concentrate and a hot surface. Classic vaping heats liquids in a cartridge at lower temperatures (180-220°C). Dabbing delivers a more intense effect per use.
How much concentrate do I need per dab?
An amount the size of a grain of rice (about 20-50 mg) is enough for a full dab with 20-50 mg of pure CBD. So 1g of concentrate lasts for about 20-50 uses.
Which concentrate is suitable for those new to dabbing?
Conwax 97% – the waxy consistency is the easiest to handle and to dose. Shatter is visually impressive but takes a little practice to break up.
How do I store concentrates properly?
Cool, dark and airtight in a silicone container or glass jar. Wax and shatter are very sensitive to warmth – do not leave them in the sun, or the material will run.
Can concentrates be used without a dab rig?
Yes. You can use crumble in a dab pen vaporiser or as a topping on a CBD flower („twaxing“). Taking it orally in edibles or as homemade oil is also possible.
Is there a difference in effect between wax, shatter and crumble?
At the same CBD content the effect is identical. The differences lie in consistency, handling and aroma retention – shatter and wax are often better on terpenes, crumble is more versatile.
How is the concentrate made?
With modern solvent-free extraction methods (CO₂ extraction) or with approved solvents (butane, fully evaporated afterwards). All our concentrates are tested for solvent residues by independent laboratories.
How pure are the concentrates?
Conwax and Cancon Shatter reach 97% CBD purity, Cancon Crumble is at 90%. All values are confirmed by HPLC analysis.
