Essentials oils – broad spectrum

Simply put: all the cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids of the CBD cannabis plant are present in organic quality, but slightly reduced. Essentials CBD oil is below 0,2% THC, in line with the legal values of the European Union. The reduction of THC follows the broad spectrum guidelines, so as to keep as many cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids as possible. Up to 600 components of the CBD cannabis plant are present!

Other suppliers – black CBD oil

Simply put: simple and cheap to produce, but at the expense of the overall quality of the product. Black, overheated CBD oils pose various problems: they are not homogeneous in their composition or in their aromatic strength, and often show a share of CBD-A that is too high in relation to pure CBD. The plant material removed from black oils during filtration harms the aromatic potential of the CBD. A sour, bitter taste and smell, a texture that is not homogeneous and harder to concentrate, sometimes a deposit at the bottom. Poorer value for money for your aromatic oil. A variable texture of the substance, along with interference from chemicals and preservatives – so not free of solvents! They are now also filtered and coloured to become a golden CBD oil. A high share of denatured trans-cannabinoids.

Other suppliers – CBD isolates or full spectrum isolate

Simply put: nothing but cannabidiol isolate (the production method and origin often unknown). No other aromatic components, such as the valuable cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids of the cannabis plant. Absolutely everything is removed apart from the cannabidiol – so what remains is a one-sided CBD isolate. Often sold as a crystal-clear CBD oil. In various so-called full spectrum isolate CBD oils, only traces of cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids are present! Often marketed as a golden CBD oil as well.

Which type of CBD oil to start with?

Full spectrum CBD oils come in various concentrations (5 % or 10 %, for instance). They contain the complete cannabinoid and terpene profile. Which version suits you is an individual matter.

What is the difference between full spectrum, broad spectrum and isolate?

Full spectrum contains all the cannabinoids including traces of THC (below 1 %). Broad spectrum contains all the cannabinoids except THC. CBD isolate is pure CBD without other cannabinoids – weaker in its effect, but free of THC.

How do I recognise a good CBD oil?
